Teaching Assistant: History 350, The Soviet Union

In the 2020/2021 semester, I was the Teaching Assistant for History 350, The Soviet Union, with Professor Alexei Kojevnikov.

The course covers the political, social, and cultural history of the Russian Empire, the Soviet Union, and the post-Soviet successor states from 1900 to the present.

Besides discussing reading and lecture content, tutorial activities included: an All-Russia Congress of Soviets, in which students represented the platform of the Bolsheviks, Mensheviks, or Socialist Revolutionaries; a 15th Congress of the All-Union Communist Party, in which students sided either with the majority or the United Opposition in policy debates; and a Wikipedia stub expansion project.
